Tranter Patents

The following British Patents and Registered Designs were taken out by William Tranter

1849, October 13th, Registered Design No. 2054 Design for a lever catch for pistol locks.
Substituted one spring for the three action springs normally employed in a bar hammer self cocking pepperbox lock mechanism. There is no evidence that he ever produced pepperbox pistols using this principle.
